A channel idle timeout, as OpenSSH's ChannelTimeout sets one (type=interval): channels of ChannelType with no data in either direction for Timeout are closed by the client. See ChannelTimeouts.

Remarks

ChannelType is an OpenSSH channel type name, or a pattern of them ( and ?, case-sensitive): session (commands, shells, subsystems and SFTP), direct-tcpip (TCP tunnels and local or dynamic forwarding), direct-streamlocal@openssh.com (Unix-socket tunnels), forwarded-tcpip and forwarded-streamlocal@openssh.com (remote forwarding), agent-connection (agent forwarding), or for all of them. The first entry whose pattern matches a channel applies; Zero means no timeout for that type.
